Man hit by gunfire in Youngstown

A man was shot on East Lucius Avenue in Youngstown, Ohio

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A young man is recovering at home after he was shot early Monday morning.

The shooting happened just after midnight at the corner of East Lucius Avenue and Erie Street.

Neighbors said the victim, a 17-year-old Youngstown resident, was bleeding from the head. One of the neighbors took the victim to St. Elizabeth Health Center.

Officers found about eight to 10 shell casings on Erie Street, about a block away from where the victim was found. Police have not identified a suspect.
