No sign of 2 thought to have drowned in Ohio river

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) – Authorities have searched another day and failed to find two swimmers who were swept toward a dam on a central Ohio river and are believed to have drowned over the weekend.

Rescuers were first called on Saturday evening to the site along the Olentangy River in Columbus, not far from the campus of Ohio State University. The Columbus Dispatch reports the missing men are stepbrothers who are 19 and 21 years old.

Authorities called off the search Monday night and said it would resume on Tuesday morning.
