South side Youngstown shooting leaves one injured

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown Police are investigating a Monday evening shooting on the south side of the city which left one person injured.

According to police, the shooting happened at the Sunny Mart convenience store in the late afternoon. Emergency workers took the victim to a local hospital. Police say they have no suspects in the case.

In what is believed to be a separate incident, police found the body of Jarell Brown, 18, around 10 p.m. Sunday near the corner of Market Street and Indianola Avenue in the city’s uptown area. He had been shot.

Police are still looking to talk to witnesses, or anyone who may know what happened.
