gasoline prices, pump

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – With crude oil prices down nearly 20% over the last month, summer drivers are smiling at the gas pump. The daily AAA survey for the Youngstown-Warren market had regular unleaded averaging $2.43 a gallon on Wednesday morning. That’s down 11-cents for the week and 31-cents over the last month.

The Gas Buddy website says you’ll find some of the cheapest gas in the Cortland area. Some stations there were selling regular at $2.25 early Wednesday.

The national average according to the auto agency is $2.69 a gallon. Gas wars popped up in a few Cleveland suburbs earlier in the week, with prices briefly below $2.00. The price of crude briefly dropped below $47 a barrel on Tuesday.
