CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – The Mahoning County OVI Task Force will be conducting two sobriety checkpoints the weekend of August 7-9, according to a press release sent Monday.
Times and locations for the checkpoints will be released later in the week, the release stated.. There will also be local saturation patrols throughout Mahoning County this week and weekend.
The primary goal of the Mahoning County OVI Task Force continues to be making the roadways in Mahoning County safer, according to the release.
Support in operating the upcoming sobriety checkpoint and saturation patrols will be provided by participating agencies of the Mahoning County OVI Task Force, the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Ohio Department of Transportation and the Mahoning County Emergency Management Agency.
