Dirt bike hits car on Route 46 in Niles

Two people were injured while riding a dirt bike in Niles, Ohio.

NILES, Ohio (WKBN) – A Niles male is facing charges after colliding with a car.

Police say a male drove a dirt bike off the sidewalk about 4 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Route 46 and Third Street and struck a car.

A female was on the back of the cycle. Both were thrown off and taken to the hospital.

Niles police haven’t released the cyclist name, but said he is charged with reckless operation, driving an off-road vehicle on the street and driving on a suspended license.

There is no word on their conditions.
