Driver injured in Southington motorcycle crash

A driver was injured in a motorcycle crash in Southington, Ohio.

SOUTHINGTON, Ohio (WKBN) – A motorcyclist is in the hospital after an accident late Tuesday night in Trumbull County.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Duane Isaac, 35, of Southington, crashed around 11:20 p.m. along Route 422, just west of the Route 5 bypass in Warren Township. His motorcycle hit a traffic sign and overturned.

Paramedics took Isaac to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown with head and leg injuries, where he remains in serious condition.

Investigators say alcohol was a factor in the crash and that Isaac was not wearing a helmet.
