Warren Kmart to close in Mid-November

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Kmart in Warren will close in mid-November, according to a release sent Wednesday from Sears, Kmart’s parent company.

The release stated that the store will begin its liquidation sale on Aug. 30.

The closure is due to a change in the company’s business model, according to the release. Some of the store’s 68 employees will receive severance pay and have the opportunity to apply for open positions at area Sears or Kmart stores.  Most of the workers there are part time or hourly, the release stated.
