MERCER, Pa. (WKBN) – A fugitive sought by Pennsylvania State Police is now at the Mercer County Jail, according to a PSP dispatcher.

Kevin L. McFadden, 47, of Emlenton, Pa. was arrested Wednesday. The details of his arrest are unknown, but he has been charged with receiving stolen property, according to jail records.

Police said he has stolen farm equipment, scrap metal and other items from various locations in western Pennsylvania, including Mercer and Lawrence counties. According to a Pennsylvania State Police press release, McFadden was known to hide out in vehicles, abandoned strip mines and secluded areas.

The release also stated that McFadden “commonly shaves and changes facial hair to avoid identification,” and that McFadden has fled multiple times from police, including numerous high-speed chases. Warrants were issued for his arrest as far back as December.
