Youngstown house shot at; fire breaks out next day

A fire borke out Wednesday morning at a house in Youngstown, Ohio where a person had been shot.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The homeowner wasn’t there when a fire broke out early Thursday morning at a home on Youngstown’s south side.

Crews were called about 2:30 a.m. to the house in the 100 block of Ellenwood Avenue.

The house sustained heavy smoke damage.

A cause has not been determined, but firefighters say the fire may have started on the side of the house.

Police confirmed that someone shot at the house on Wednesday. Details of that incident were not immediately available.
