LISBON, Ohio (WKBN) – They have everything at the county fair. Food, animals, rides, and games. You can even get arrested there.
The Morning Journal says US Marshals and sheriffs deputies were the big attraction at the Columbiana County Fair Thursday when a Louisville, Kentucky man was picked up on an outstanding warrant. 29-year-old Anthony Huffman is in county Municipal Court on Friday for failing to appear in court in Jefferson County in 2013. He was to answer to a probation violation for an earlier flagrant non-support conviction.
Deputies and marshals stopped at the fairgrounds after getting word that another fugitive was there. That man was never located. The county and feds were working together, rounding up at least 9 people on Thursday.
The law officers did become an attraction of their own. There were lots of onlookers. Children even ventured up to meet them.
