DUNBAR, Pa. (AP) – Investigators say a man’s body has been found near a popular whitewater rafting area of the Lower Youghiogheny River in southwestern Pennsylvania..
Ohiopyle State Park manager Ken Bisbee tells The Tribune-Review (http://bit.ly/1hwGfx3 ) that the body was found shortly after 1:30 p.m. Tuesday near the Rivers End Rapids area.
The Fayette County coroner’s office has been called in. The victim’s identity and information about the circumstances of his death were not immediately available.
It’s been a difficult season on the river. In April, a kayaker found the body of a 21-year-old Carnegie Pennsylvania man who fell into the water from the park’s observation deck.
