YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Youngstown Police officer arrested a man Tuesday morning, saying he got into a confrontation with the officer and had a concealed handgun on his person.
According to a police report, a car hit a utility pole near the corner of Burbank Ave. and Ashley Ave. on Youngstown’s west side, taking out some power and phone lines. The man who got arrested, who was not in the car that crashed, approached the scene of the wreck and got into some type of argument with the officer, according to police.
The officer reported that a failure-to-appear arrest warrant was out for the man, and arrested him for that, as well as charging him with carrying a concealed weapon and obstructing official business.
The name of the man arrested was not immediately available, and neither was information on the driver of the car who hit the pole.
