Police round up Mahoning Co. drug suspects

Police in Youngstown, Ohio perform an arrest roundup.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Multiple police agencies are making a series of arrests in Youngstown Wednesday morning, including at least one at a house on the city’s east side, according to authorities on the scene.

Police gathered at a house at the corner of Jacobs Rd. and Nelson Ave. before 9 a.m. Wednesday but did not arrest anyone at the home. Police also reported going to a number of locations, specified by the Mahoning County Prosecutor’s Office, to make arrests Wednesday.

According to Mahoning County Assistant Prosecutor Marty Desmond, 13 people were indicted on various drug charges last week, and police were picking them all up Wednesday. The suspects will be arraigned next Tuesday.
