WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A utility pole in Warren that’s put some neighbors on edge is getting repaired.
First Energy crews began work Friday morning to remove a broken and leaning pole on Heather Lane, saying they had been waiting for a phone company to transfer its equipment to a new pole standing next to it.
The repair comes after WKBN 27 Investigates reported on the situation on Heather Lane NW.
One of the poles is leaning more than the others. Resident Marcy Moisio is worried. “That thing could come down unexpectedly and do damage to somebody who was walking by or a car that is going by. Yes, and it’s going to happen.”
Lewis Merwin said he hopes no car hits that pole. “It won’t take much to knock them over. This has been hit a couple of times.”
27 Investigates gave the number listed on the pole these folks are most concerned about.
