CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – Finding shelter dogs a forever home was one of the goals of Adopt-a-Palooza.
The event held in Canfield Sunday raised awareness about the pet adoption process for those not quite ready to make the commitment.
A number of agencies were on hand with dogs, including Animal Charity and Legacy Dog Rescue.
A few adoption applications were turned in at the event.
Sweeney Chevrolet, Buick and GMC hosted the event. This is the third year for Adopt-a-Palooza.
We have been part of a community that has given us so much over the last almost 100 years that it is very important for us to give back to that community,” said Christopher Anderson, social media director for Sweeney. “It is important to raise awareness for the fact that there are so many homeless pets in the area that are looking for homes.”
Sweeney plans to hold the adoption event next year. All business events can be found on Sweeney’s Facebook page.
