New Castle man caught behind wheel of stolen car

A New Castle man is behind bars after police say he stole a car to trade for heroin.

New Castle Police say 35 year old Michael Salvetti stole a vehicle from a convenience store more than a week ago. Days later, police found the car in Pittsburgh, with its new driver!

Salvetti was arrested two days later at his home in New Castle. He’s facing charges of car theft, and receiving stolen property.
