WKBN Caring Campaign Helps Habitat in Lowellville

The WKBN 27 Caring for Our Community team spent the day with Habitat for Humanity of Mahoning Valley helping to build their home in Lowellville.

Volunteers from Huntington Bank and WKBN helped to paint and side the home for Alyssa Mamula and her three children.
This is Habitat’s first home in Lowellville and the volunteers were excited to be a part of the process.

“This is my first time volunteering with Habitat,” said Rosemary Kubli from Huntington Bank.  “It’s a wonderful experience and this might not be my last time volunteering, I would like to help out at another job site in the future.”

Huntington Bank had nearly a dozen volunteers spend their Saturday giving back, and Kubli says that this is just what the company is about.  “Huntington loves to be involved with the community and do our part in giving back.”

The home in Lowellville still has some work to get done, but it will be finished up later this year.  WKBN 27 will be there when Habitat hands Alyssa and her children the keys to make this house a home.
