Edison crews repair outage in Girard and Liberty

GIRARD, Ohio (WKBN) – 310 Ohio Edison customers in Girard and Liberty Township were without power Tuesday morning. Service was restored at 8:52 a.m. Power was out for two hours.

An Edison spokesman says lightning hit some equipment in Girard and “fried” it. There was a storm system moving through the area at the time.

Most customers affected were just north of I-80 and west of Route 11.
