WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – By way of Report It and several phone calls, viewers told WKBN that employees at a pair of Valley health care agencies are not receiving their paychecks.
Employees with Cedarcreek Health Care Center in Warren and Campus Health Care Center in Liberty Township said their paychecks bounced and their next pay date has been pushed back.
“I have numerous overdraft fees that the company refuses to pay. This company is doing bad business and it is affecting the residents and staff,” one person said.
“They have now decided to change our pay date with a week’s notice,” another said.
Both Trumbull County facilities are owned by the Tennessee-based New Beginnings. These facilities are not associated with the locally, privately owned CHCC company.
WKBN reached out to the company several times Wednesday. The company hung up on WKBN once. Other times, caller information was taken, but the company has yet to return the calls.
An employee who asked not to be identified spoke to WKBN by phone Wednesday.
“I can’t afford to worry about my paycheck from paycheck to paycheck. I come into work, I do my job, I get paid. I want to know that my paycheck is secure,” the caller said.
Cedarcreek and Campus Health Care Centers are listed on the Medicare website.
Both have an overall rating of 1 star each, which is well below average for health inspection, staffing and other quality measures.
