OVI checkpoints announced for Mahoning Co.

CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – The Mahoning County OVI Task Force announced Thursday that it will hold two sobriety checkpoints Friday and Saturday.

Police did not immediately announce the times and locations of the checkpoints.

Officers will be conducting a roadside check of drivers in two separate locations for alcohol and drug impairment.

Support in operating the upcoming sobriety checkpoint and saturation patrols will be provided by participating agencies of the Mahoning County OVI Task Force, the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Ohio Department of Transportation and the Mahoning County Emergency Management Agency.
