Columbiana County Democratic Chairman Denny Johnson dies

COLUMBIANA, Ohio (WKBN) – Longtime Columbiana County Democratic Party Chairman Denny Johnson has passed away following a brief illness.

Johnson led the county party faithful for the last 24 years. It was an unpaid position.

The party vice chairman says Johnson was a “brilliant strategist for the Democratic Party and a powerful voice for the people of Columbiana County.”

Calling hours are Monday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 9 at the Weber Funeral Home in Lisbon. Services are Tuesday at 2:30 at the funeral home.

Johnson leaves behind a family, including his wife, Marion, their two daughters and their son.

Denny Johnson was 74.
