GIRARD, Ohio (WKBN) – Hundreds of book bags and lots of school supplies were handed out to Girard school students and others during the annual Kids Free Fun Day/Book Bag Give-Away at Tod Memorial Park on Saturday.

Parents ate hot dogs with the kids who had fun with games, face painting and clowns.

The event is held to honor the memories of Lena Cross and her two children, Mason and Christian. They were killed in their Girard home 10 years ago. The crime has not been solved.
