Kane says she will run for re-election as Pennsylvania Attorney General

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WKBN) – The 2016 election is more than a year away, but candidates running for Pennsylvania Attorney General are not sure if they will be running against embattled Democratic incumbent Kathleen Kane.

The other possibility for candidates is running for a vacant seat.

Kane’s status is unknown as she continues to fight criminal charges.

One Democrat and two Republicans have said they are going to run for the seat.

Kane said she is innocent and will run for re-election.

Democratic party insiders said there may be at least two other contenders from the party running for the seat.
