224 lane restrictions at Route 11 will be in place for Canfield Fair

Route 224 construction project in Boardman, Ohio.

CANFIELD TWP, Ohio (WKBN) – Are you planning to use Route 11, Route 224 or Raccoon Road to get to the Canfield Fair next week? The bridge construction at 224 and 11 could be a factor.

Here’s the good news: ODOT’s Brent Kovacs says you’ll have four lanes to use on the southbound Route 11 ramp. “In the next day or two we’re going to be opening up all the lanes on 11 southbound to the 224 ramp”, says Kovacs.”So folks will now have two left turn lanes one straight lane onto Fairground Blvd and one right lane onto 224 west bound.”

Also, all of the work on Raccoon Road is done now. But westbound Route 224 traffic is still down to just one lane. There are two lanes available eastbound.

Kovacs says the fair is something that’s on its calendar and it’s doing what it can to get the project done and not affect fair traffic too much.
