CAMPBELL, Ohio (WKBN) – Just in the nick of time, with the first football game on Friday night. Workers at Campbell Memorial Stadium erected a 90-foot light stanchion on Thursday. It replaces a pole that fell during a thunderstorm back in May.
The students work very hard, and we want to be able to showcase their abilities Friday night under the lights”, says Campbell Schools Superintendent Matthew Bowen. “So its very important for our students, for our community. This is a very prideful community. It is a football town. And we owe it to our fans to be here.”
The district’s insurance paid for the repairs.
