SALEM, Ohio (WKBN) – Cooper Bezeredi and Kade Byland scored three times apiece as Salem rolled to a 54-7 win over the visiting Mineral Ridge Rams. Bezeredi finished a perfect 3 for 3 passing for 53 yards, scampering 3 times for 53 stripes (2 TDs) and returned the opening kickoff for a score (88 yards). Byland led the Quakers with 81 rushing yards on 10 attempts (2 TDs) as he also caught a 16 yard score in the first quarter.

Salem ran 51 offensive plays for 403 yards (215 passing, 188 rushing). The Quakers closed out the contest with 17 first downs and were 5 of 9 on third down conversions.
The Rams gained 166 yards of total offense but turned the ball over twice and allowed a pair of touchdowns on special teams (kickoff, punt return). Mac White finished the contest with 6 of 12 passing for 73 yards.
Mineral Ridge will travel to Lisbon in week two. Salem will host United.
