Ellis leads Howland in a shutout win

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Tyriq Ellis led the Tigers’ offensive attack by scoring three touchdowns on 9 carries to guide Howland to a 49-0 win over Kenmore.

Howland outgained the Cardinals 395 to 99 in total yardage. The Tigers were able to muster 223 yards on the ground and 172 through the air. Ellis ran the ball 9 times while gaining 113 yards. Jake Lester completed 5 passes for 172 yards.

Kenmore was able to only gain 33 stripes rushing the football while they accumulated 66 yards via the pass game. Dorell Daniels led the Cardinals with 19 rushing yards on 11 attempts.

Kenmore will travel to Norton in week two. Howland will visit Green.
