Two more checkpoints set for Saturday in Trumbull Co.

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol will conduct two OVI checkpoints Saturday night in Trumbull County as part of its Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign.

The Patrol plans to release the locations Saturday morning.

Drive Sober of Get Pulled Over is a national traffic safety campaign that runs through Labor Day.

“It shows the initiative, the collective effort of law enforcement coming together to achieve a common goal, and that is ultimately reduce fatalities and minimize injuries,” Warren OSP Lieutenant Brian Holt said.

Vehicles that go through the checkpoint could be given more than just a warning from officers.

Police held a sobriety checkpoint Thursday night in Brookfield, the third in Trumbull County in August.
