BOARDMAN TWP, Ohio (WKBN) – If all goes well and the weather cooperates on Monday, the new Western Reserve Road bridge over I-680 should open Monday evening, says ODOT. The bridge has been closed since mid-June.

A contractor completely rebuilt the bridge from the ground up this summer. The new bridge is wider to accommodate the increasing levels of traffic in the area.

ODOT says the lane restrictions on I-680 below the bridge will remain in effect for about another week. The $8.9-million dollar project also included the repaving of 680 from Route 224 to the turnpike.
