BOARDMAN TWP, Ohio (WKBN) – It was a celebration of all things Polish at the Polish-American Heritage Days event Sunday in Boardman. The event was at St Luke Church Hall on South Avenue.

The event featured Polish food, two polka bands, and folk art vendors along with many other things like cultural workshops and authentic folk dance performances. Event organizers say the goal is education.

“The culture in the Valley is so very rich and the so that is the most important thing is education,” says organizer Lisa Skomra-Lotze. “We’re all Americans because we were first Polish, Armenian, African-Americans, Italians.”
