WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Students at all Warren schools had to evacuate their buildings Tuesday morning after a non-specific bomb threat against the district, according to Warren City Schools Superintendent Steve Chiaro.
The district is cancelling afternoon classes, according to Chiaro. Parents and guardians can pick up their children Tuesday, as long as they present a photo ID. If parents do not pick up their children, buses will transport them to their homes, starting with Warren Harding High school, then Lincoln and McGuffey, then Jefferson and Willard.
Chiaro said that Warren Police received a bomb threat just before 11 a.m. that was not specific to any school campus. Police and school officials established a perimeter and then began internal inspections, according to Chiaro.
