West Allegheny proves too much for New Castle

WEST ALLEGHENY, Pennsylvania (WKBN) – In the game’s first 14 minutes, New Castle and West Allegheny were tied at 14 apiece. In the contest’s final 33:33, the Indians outscored the ‘Canes 27-0 en route to a 41-14 win.

For New Castle, Pat Minenok ran for a score from 27 yards away and also threw for a 65 yard strike for six points.

The Red Hurricanes will open their home schedule with a match up against Parkway rival, Montour. Bob Palko’s group will head to Chartiers Valley in week two.
