Brookfield cruises against Valley Christian

Brookfield players celebrate after a touchdown, the Warriors cruised past Valley Christian Saturday night.

POLAND, OH (WKBN)-Brookfield scored early and often led by quarterback Augustus Necastro as the Warriors grabbed their first win of the year topping Valley Christian 43-7.

Things started rough for the Eagles, on the first play from scrimmage Valley Christian fumbled and Brookfield’s Mark Kraml pounced on the ball giving the Warriors great field position.

On the ensuing drive, Brookfield had a touchdown called back due to a penalty, but Necastro found Kasey Tingler a few plays later for the games first touchdown that gave the Warriors a 7-0 lead.

After their defense forced a punt, Brookfield went back to work, this time on the ground. Sophomore Alex Clark plowed into the end zone from a few yards out to extend Brookfield’s lead to 14-0.

The Warriors (1-1) travel to Berkshire this Friday as Valley Christian (0-2) hosts to Streetsboro on Saturday.
