COLUMBIANA, Ohio (WKBN) – It was a day to help the kids. Ace Hardware stores across the country and across the Valley Saturday conducted their third annual Bucket Day to benefit local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley in Boardman is among those hospitals.

Here’s how Bucket Day worked. Ace Hardware customers purchase a Children’s Miracle Network bucket for $5 and fill it with tools and materials. Customers receive a discount of 20 percent off of everything they can fit into their bucket.

Proceeds from all buckets purchased at local Ace Hardware locations benefit Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley.

Ace has raised more than $64 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across the country. Local Ace Hardware locations have raised almost $4,000 in the past three years.
