Canfield finishes off Alliance after postponement

The Cardinals came out with a 35-20 win Saturday.

Canfield, OH (WKBN) – The Canfield football team fell victim to the lightning delays Friday night, but came out on top of Alliance, 35-20 Saturday morning.

The Cardinals led 28-7 with 4:23 left in the 3rd quarter when play was postponed due to persistent lightning in the area. But they came out strong Saturday morning with a quick 5 yard touchdown run by Paul Breinz to widen their lead to 35-7.

The Aviators would later get on the board, including a 2 yard touchdown run by Duce Johnson, but Canfield held on for their first win of the season.
