Poland soccer rallies to tie Lakeview

The battle of the Bulldogs ended in a draw Tuesday night.

Poland, OH (WKBN) – The Poland boys soccer team scored a late second half goal to tie Lakeview, 1-1 Tuesday night at Dave Pavlansky Field.

Both teams are vying for position in the All American Conference White Division. Lakeview struck first midway through the first half on a goal by junior Josh Kelly.

But after trailing 1-0 at halftime, Poland tied things up with 17 minutes left with a goal by senior David Watson, assisted by Marcus Trevis.

Goalkeeper Jackson Gangne led Lakeview with 4 saves, while both Bryan Montgomery and Izzac Lange both had one save for Poland.

Lakeview is now 2-0-1 on the season, while Poland moves to 1-1-1.
