Sobriety checkpoints coming to Mahoning Co.

CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – The Mahoning County OVI Task Force will be conducting two sobriety checkpoints the weekend of September 11-13, according to a press release from Scott Weamer of the Canfield Police.

The release did not state the times or locations of those checkpoints, but did say that those details will be released later in the week. There will also be local saturation patrols throughout Mahoning County throughout the week and weekend.

Support in operating the upcoming sobriety checkpoint and saturation patrols will be provided by participating agencies of the Mahoning County OVI Task Force, the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Ohio Department of Transportation and the Mahoning County Emergency Management Agency.
