WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A crash involving a motorcycle in Warren Township Friday morning sent two people to the hospital, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol officers.

It happened just before noon on Tod Avenue SW.

An OSHP Trooper said both vehicles were traveling north when the car struck the motorcycle’s rear, sending the cyclist flying.

The car continued driving until it went off the right side of the road, hitting a mailbox and a sign in the process.

Paramedics took the motorcyclist to Trumbull Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, while the driver of the car was taken to St. Joe’s. Officials said the car driver had an “altered mental status.”

The investigation is ongoing.
