Accused needle wielding attacker appears in Trumbull County Court

Danielle Johnson was arraigned on charges that she used a needle to threaten a nurse.

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A prisoner accused of holding a nurse at needle-point was arraigned in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Friday morning.

Danielle Johnson, 35, pleaded not guilty to two counts of felonious assault, two counts of kidnapping, and an escape charge.

Judge Wyatt McKay set bond at $100,000.

According to a police report, Johnson held a needle to a nurse’s neck on an Aug. 30 visit to the emergency room at St. Joseph Medical Center. The needle has just been used to draw Johnson’s blood.

Police say Johnson threatened told the nurse she would stick her with it if the officer got close.
