Canfield back to winning record after win over Kenston

CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio (WKBN) – The Canfield Cardinals used a great first half from kicker Ryan Teminsky to cruise past Kenston 25-7 in Chagrin Falls Friday night.

Teminsky booted a 36 yard field goal to give the Cards a 3-0 lead with 6:51 left in the first quarter.  He then connected on a 43 yard field goal with 1:57 to extend the lead to 6-0.

Cardinals junior QB Jake Cummings kept the ball rolling in the second quarter, scoring from 12 yards out to give Canfield a 12-0 lead.

Teminsky found the space between the uprights for a third time just before the half, extending the Cardinals lead to 16-0 with a field goal from 28 yards out with just 40 ticks remaining.

Kenston got on the board with 11:46 left in the game, with a Bombers running back scoring from two yards out to close the gap to 16-7.  The Cardinals would add two insurance scores in the fourth to finish the game.

Canfield (2-1) will host Lakeside in week four.
