Austintown rolls over Louisville

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Austintown Fitch returned three interceptions for touchdowns in a 37-19 victory over Louisville.

After Louisville put up the first touchdown of the night, Austintown Fitch tied the score at 7-7 when QB Nate Fowler connected with JC Mikovich for a touchdown pass on a 4th and long.

Later in the first half, the Falcons scored again, but this time on defense when Carlos Herriott returne an interception for a score.  Fitch leads 14-7 at the half.

The Falcons lead grew to ten points in the second half when Dylan Correia connected on a 27 yard field goal.

Louisville would find the end zone and cut the lead to 17-13 after their extra point was blocked.

Mikovich then picked off an errant Louisville pass, and returned it to the end zone and bring the Falcon lead back to double digits, 24-13.

With 10:08 remaining in the game, Louisville again answered the bell, closing the gap to 24-19.

Correia’s second and third field goals of the game gave Fitch some needed insurance in the fourth quarter, extending their lead 30-19.

The Falcons’ third pick six of the game, this time by Damien Gray, would seal the deal at 37-19.

Austintown Fitch (2-1) will travel to Warren Harding in week four.
