VIENNA, Ohio (WKBN) – Overwhelming their first two opponents by a combined score of 104 to 8, the Mathews Mustangs’ offense and defense continued to steamroll their opposition, easily beating Southington 30-0.

In the first quarter, senior Bryan Leipply found the endzone for the early 7-0 lead.
Later in the quarter, it was Leipply again on a long run to push the Mustangs’ lead to 14-0.
The Mustang offense continued to dominate on the next drive as Daniel Canter scored and a two-point conversion increased the lead to 22-0.
In the second quarter, Canter recorded his second touchdown of the game, this time from seven yards out. The Mathews lead increased to 30-0.
The 30-0 halftime lead would hold, giving the Mustangs another overwhelming victory.
Southington (1-2) will try to get back into the win column next week when they take on Windham.
Mathews (3-0) will go for their fourth straight win when they travel to Western Reserve next Friday.
