NILES, Ohio (WKBN) – A back and forth battle in Niles was decided by the play of Red Dragon quarterback Tyler Srbinovich who led them to a 39-24 win over Struthers.

In the second quarter and already down 12, Struthers punched it in for a score. A successful two-point conversion put the Wildcats back in striking distance, 12-8.
Then, with over six minutes remaining in the first half, the Wildcats grabbed their first lead of the game and took the 16-12 lead into halftime.
In the third, Struthers struck again with another touchdown and two-point conversion, increasing their lead to 24-12.
But, Niles fought back. Red Dragon quarterback Tyler Srbinovich called his own number, punching it in from just outside the goal line, making it 24-19 Struthers.
Late in the third quarter, Niles went to the air to take the lead. A strong pass from Srbinovich was tipped and then caught by Marlon Pearson for the score, giving the lead back to Niles 27-24.
In the fourth, Srbinovich called his own number again, diving into the endzone to give the Red Dragons breathing room, 33-24.
With 5:36 remaining in the game, it was Srbinovich again finding the endzone, pushing the Red Dragon lead to 39-24.
Niles (2-1) goes for win number three in week four when they host Youngstown East.
Struthers (1-2) will look to get back in the win column next Friday when they take on Jefferson.
