Wellsville picks up first “W”

WELLSVILLE, Ohio (WKBN) – In a battle of ITCL teams looking for their first win of the season, Wellsville struck first and often, cruising to the 33-0 win over the visiting Lowellville Rockets.

Sophomore running back Andre Sloan gave Wellsville a 7-0 lead to open the early lead against Lowellville.

Wellsville picked up another score with :42 left in the first with Vinny Giordano getting in the end zone.

The Tigers would quickly extend the lead again, this time to 20-0, when Michael Shope returned an interception for a touchdown with 11:25 remaining in the second quarter.

The Tigers rolled in the second half, picking up the big 33-0 win.

Lowellville (0-3) will visit St. John Central in week four.  Wellsville (1-2) will travel to McDonald.
