PITTSBURGH (AP) – Authorities in western Pennsylvania say gunfire in Pittsburgh’s Homewood neighborhood sent three people to the hospital, two of them in critical condition.
Police said officers responded to a call of shots fired early Saturday and found a man in his early 20s with a gunshot wound. He was taken to UPMC Presbyterian in critical condition.
Another man, also in his early 20s, went to Shadyside Hospital with gunshot wounds and was taken to UPMC Presbyterian in critical condition.
A 19-year-old woman later went to Children’s Hospital with a gunshot wound said not to be life-threatening.
Police said several vehicles were also damaged by gunfire in the area where the shots were fired. The investigation continues and no arrests were immediately announced.
