BOARDMAN TWP, Ohio (WKBN) – Two men are in the Mahoning County Jail charged with felonious assault and vandalism after a disturbance inside the Boardman Walmart early Tuesday morning.

Boardman Police say Patrick James Sr., 36, and Charleston Jennings, 31, attacked a 31-year-old Hubbard man in a sporting goods aisle in the store. There was a trail of blood down the aisle.

The victim suffered cuts and possibly some broken ribs and was taken to Saint Elizabeth Medical Center in Youngstown. Officers were told the victim is dating the wife of one of the men arrested.

Police said that at least $500 worth of merchandise was thrown away.

“Anytime we have a situation like this, the safety of our customers and of our associates is really our top priority,” Walmart Spokesperson Betsy Harden said.

Video was taken of the bloody fight aftermath and posted online. It had 30,000 views as of Tuesday night.
