Woman arrested in Farrell stabbing

Monica Austin was charged with aggravated assault in connection to a stabbing in Farrell, Pa.

FARRELL, Pa. (WKBN) – A Farrell woman was arrested early Tuesday morning after police say she stabbed a man during a dispute.

Police were called about 5 a.m. to a home on Emerson Avenue where they found a 43-year-old man with a “severe laceration” to his left arm and A towel wrapped around it.

Police arrested Monica Austin, 39, at a home in the 600 block of Fruit Avenue. She is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.

The victim was taken to UPMC Farrell for treatment.
