Cortland police make arrest in string of car break-ins

CORTLAND, Ohio (WKBN) – Cortland police have made an arrest in a string of recent car break-ins in the city.

After receiving tips about a rash of car thefts in the Shepherd Hill area, officers were able to identify a suspect which led them to residence where they were able to question that person.

According to police, a juvenile suspect admitted to the thefts and officers recovered stolen property.

Multiple charges are pending, according to police.

The investigation is ongoing.
