Salem man’s death under investigation

SALEM, Ohio (WKBN) – The death of a 41-year-old Salem man in western Pennsylvania is being investigated by the state police barracks there.

The Morning Journal says that Scott Baird was found unconscious on State Route 210 in Armstrong County early on Labor Day morning; he was flown by medical helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh where he later died.

Troopers say they don’t know why Baird was in the area or where he was going. He has no known ties to the Armstrong County area.

The Kittanning Pennsylvania barracks of the state police is asking for the public’s help in the investigation.
